Mariam’s learning journey with EQT

I have completed my Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care, I have enjoyed completing my assignments. I have learnt so much by doing my research on various assessments.

When I first started my course, I did not know how to set out an assignment as it has been over 30 years since I was at school. With my tutors help Tracy Weaver, she explained it to me step by step without judging me and in a way that I understood.  If for some reason I did not understand she would change her method of explaining, I can’t praise Tracy enough she really gave me the support and encouragement to achieve my level 2. The whole course was fitted around my family and work life.

The most important thing which I have learned is I have a better understanding of my job role working as a community carer, I feel more confident as I have more knowledge and consequences of my actions. I understand more about legislations, health and safety and following my companies’ policies and procedures that is involved in the care sector

Finally, I just want to thank Tracy my tutor she has been absolutely brilliant.

Mariam has been an excellent learner on the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship. Mariam was new to the care sector so felt she still had a lot to learn and she used the Apprenticeship to research all the mandatory and optional assignments and developed her knowledge around all aspects, including: legislation, Health and Safety, Person-Centred, Dementia Awareness and Equality and Diversity.

Mariam also had no Maths and English qualifications and used all of the resources provided to her and explanations off myself to improve in both of these areas and achieve her Functional Skills in both-so Well-Done, Mariam.

I have seen Mariam’s knowledge grow and with this her skills and competence on her day to day work. Mariam’s confidence has grown also and she now knows a lot more about her job role and this also enables her to speak out confidently if she feels one of her clients is not well or their needs have changed.

Mariam has completed her Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship and achieved a Distinction in her Professional Discussion and an overall Merit-so Well-Done Mariam

Well Done Mariam and you can progress onto your Level 3 in the future, when you feel ready to do so.
