Business Administration

These qualifications are designed to start a career in a business environment, with many options for progression into specialist areas.

You need to enjoy working in an office, interacting with other staff and thriving on the challenge of meeting deadlines set by your manager.  You are also expected to liaise with and engage with customer / service users depending on the nature of the business.

The Study Programme training usually starts at Level 1 (depending on the uptake and applications) in the first year, progressing to levels 2 and 3 thereafter. These higher qualifications can either be within the Study Programme or else within an employed Apprenticeship.

The Level 2 qualification is a Certificate in Business & Administration awarded by NCFE. This is a substantial qualification that is typically gained as the entry stage and covers all the basic aspects required to progress to Level 3.

The Level 3 qualification is a BTEC Diploma in Business Administration awarded by NCFE and usually delivered within an apprenticeship standards, TQUK.

The Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standards offers a wide range of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs).  Working towards this qualification assists in gaining those transferrable skills, that can be used between different sectors and industries.
