Read Rebecca’s success story, following the achievement of her Level 4 Lead Adult Care Worker
Completing my Level 4 Diploma in Lead Adult Care Worker while working full-time as a Team Leader and living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) has been one of my proudest achievements.
Balancing work, studying and managing my MS was not always easy. There were times when fatigue and other symptoms made completing assignments challenging, but I remained determined and focused on my goal.
A huge part of my success is thanks to Tracy, who has supported me throughout my Diploma journey. She made adaptations that enabled me to achieve my qualification, including allowing me to answer assignment questions verbally, and arranging additional visits via Zoom and remote meetings when I wasn’t well enough to attend in person. Her understanding, flexibility and encouragement made a real difference and helped me continue working towards my goal despite the challenges of living with MS.
Receiving a Distinction made all of the hard work worthwhile. It proved to me that MS does not define what I can achieve and gave me the confidence to apply for roles within the NHS. Achieving my Level 4 Diploma has opened new opportunities for me to pursue a career that is more suited to my health while allowing me to continue making a positive difference to people’s lives.
I will always be proud of what I have achieved and incredibly grateful to Tracy for believing in me and helping me succeed.
